Holiday Cranberry Sauce



INGREDIENTS


  • 12 oz bag fresh cranberries

  • 1 cup fresh orange juice

  • 1 cup white sugar

  • 1/2 tsp orange zest

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tsp nutmeg


Directions


  1. Dissolve the sugar in the fresh orange juice in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

  2. Stir in the cranberries and cook until they start to dissolve and crack open, about 10-15 mins. Mix in the cinnamon, nutmeg and orange zest.

  3. Remove from heat and place sauce in a bowl. let it cool completely, it will thicken as it cools. You can serve immediately or store in a mason jar in the fridge for 10 days. You can always get a jumpstart to the holidays and store in an airtight freezer bag for up to a year in the freezer!
