Holiday Cranberry Sauce
INGREDIENTS
12 oz bag fresh cranberries
1 cup fresh orange juice
1 cup white sugar
1/2 tsp orange zest
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
Directions
Dissolve the sugar in the fresh orange juice in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
Stir in the cranberries and cook until they start to dissolve and crack open, about 10-15 mins. Mix in the cinnamon, nutmeg and orange zest.
Remove from heat and place sauce in a bowl. let it cool completely, it will thicken as it cools. You can serve immediately or store in a mason jar in the fridge for 10 days. You can always get a jumpstart to the holidays and store in an airtight freezer bag for up to a year in the freezer!
